Garment Care
Cotton
Our premium organic cotton is grown in world renown cotton fields in Turkey, where the organic fibres are extremely long and thus highly absorbent, hypoallergenic, soft and durable. We do not use any chemicals in the growing or finishing of the cotton, meaning the products are natural and best for both baby and the environment.
Organic cotton must be cared for carefully to prevent things like excessive bobbling, shrinkage and discolouration. Please follow the care label instructions for your garment and those detailed below. Unfortunately once worn / washed we are unable to return or exchange your item so please follow the instructions carefully below.
We advise:
- Wash inside out on a gentle cool wash (max 30 degrees) as high heat will significantly shrink and damage organic cotton fibres.
- Use non-biological washing powder and avoid bleach and softner.
- Line dry, never tumble dry
- Avoid washing with other fabrics that can cause abrasion such as anything with zips, Velcro or more textured fabrics - separate your clothes by fabric before washing to avoid bobbling.
- Avoid direct bright sunlight, as it can change the colour and weaken the fibres just like our skin.
Remember that conventional cotton is treated with chemicals to reduce the shrinkage effects of heat. Organic cotton is not chemically treated, so in high heat it is possible for the cotton to shrink. Some normal wear is to be expected of this natural fabric but due to the lack of harsh chemical treatment, organic cotton is less damaged, and therefore lasts longer than non-organic cotton if cared for properly.

Wool
Like organic cotton, wool is a natural fibre that is durable and has excellent thermoregulating properties making it good for babies and children. It is also kinder to the environment using less energy, water and other valuable resources to produce. Natural fibres don’t need to be washed as often as synthetic ones but when you do wash we advise:
- Wash the item inside out on a wool cycle, or hand wash if possible.
- Use a wool specific detergent.
- Roll in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring or twist as this can damage the fibres.
- Gently re-shape while damp, then dry on a flat surface away from direct heat and sunlight as this can fade and weaken fibres. Never tumble dry as heat and friction will cause shrinkage and bobbling.
- Separate your clothes by fabric before washing.
-
Avoid washing wool items with other fabrics that can cause abrasion.

Gentle washing and lower heat preserve natural fibers and with the right care, these fibres will last for years to come, becoming more loved with every wear.
